I had a wonderful time shooting the Rafiq family at Algonquin Provincial park in the midst of some raw Fall colors. The marvelous hues of red, orange, yellow and browns painted an absolutely gorgeous backdrop for these portraits.

Here are some behind the scenes and final shots of Amaya's 1st birthday cake smash. I collaborated with Cakes by Amina for the wonderful Giant cupcake which we (baby's mum and myself) secretly devoured after we finished and cleaned up *winks*

Funny though, my fondest memory of this shoot will be that Amaya chose to enjoy Doritos over the cake..maybe not a sweet toothed soul (yet)? :)

I loved shooting with the Rizvi family this March break! Since the weather decided to take a sudden turn towards the cold front, I decided to do their family photoshoot at my home studio - setting it up for the first time after moving to my new home in the city of Guelph - since May 2016! 

Despite a painful foot (thanks to the plantar fasciitis that has been slowing me down since over two months now), I took the courage to do this photo shoot with Marzia and her beautiful children Raazia and Zamaan.

We had a great time - shaking their sillies out and in the end, getting some splendid and memorable shots.

As much as I love shooting outdoors, there's a different excitement to be able to shoot in studio and I'm glad to be able to capture some wonderful portraits of this beautiful family.

This week, I tried my studio set up for an indoor shoot for Shoaib - who requested for Corporate Headshots. I found the outcome quite satisfying :)

Headshots are quite a breeze if you have yourself groomed and ready for the session. With 20mins at hand, a gallery of 40+ images to choose from, I offer 3 retouched finished shots delivered in print & web quality, color and black & whites for each.

My little man turned 4 on September 11th and Mama thought of treating herself with a birthday shoot of him. It wasn't a smooth ride (4yr olds have a will of their own!) but I'm glad 15mins through the shoot I managed to get this wonderful shot of him.

Put together with a digital birthday board, and blown up on a 16" x 12" canvas, it sure does make a priceless piece :)

Just happened to get done with a wonderful children's shoot last weekend.

Sweet and bubbly Haniyah turns 4 in November this year and beautiful Nabiha celebrates her 1st birthday next month. I was fortunate to capture some beautiful shots of them before they left for back home - Bay Area (California).

Despite the hot temperatures and blazing sun (we almost hit 37-40 degrees Celsius!), we managed to catch some shade -and a lovely breeze too during the shoot- on the beautiful scenic Itabashi bridge in Tansley Gardens (Burlington, Ontario).

Even though I didn't personally attend the April 14th rally at Queen's park, I had a Muslimmoms.ca rep (Muneeza Jawad) send me a couple of the powerful speeches at the protest. Using simple iphone videos and combining it with news screen shots, I scripted and rolled out another video for further awareness of the issue. Apparently there are still many who don't know what the new sex-ed curriculum is all about, and after this video, it is pretty evident why this issue is so concerning. Stay tuned for more!

With the recent uproar on Ontario's new sex-ed curriculum, I attended a meet up in Burlington arranged by a Muslimmom.ca rep in collaboration with the Coalition of Concerned parents lead by Sr.Farina Siddqui. It was very enlightening; and having carried my basic equipment, I volunteered to quickly draw up a call out for a rally on April 14th. With two days to iron it out and edit, this video was rolled out all over the web today and the response has been marvelous. That's why, I totally agree - pictures speak a thousand words but video/film shouts volumes!

Wanting to beat the winter blues that seemed endless, we decided an impromptu short vacay back home. What better than to be in beautiful, warm Dubai (warm for us - it was still quite chilly for people there to bear 16-20 degrees Celsius) and reunite with family!

Coincidentally, it was my beautiful niece's 1st birthday - so without any fancy equipment - but lots of cute props, I managed to do a wonderful 1st birthday shoot for her. 

Because of Masuma love for fall colors and the serene lakeshore, Sadiq decided to set up this surprise proposal with the help of close friends and family. Here are some glimpses of a beautiful, memorable afternoon at Mississauga Lakeshore - with peak fall colors to paint the backdrop for these photos!
